This week for maths Ms Kirkpatrick's groups were learning about Angles and Degrees. First we were to fill in a missing angles on a piece of paper. We were to find angles of many varieties triangle such as Equilateral, Isosceles and Left / Right Angled triangle. After we've filled in the missing Angles in each triangle we were to create a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on one of the equations.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson.

The Tunnel
Today for writing Ms Kirkpatrick's groups were using 5 - 7 - 10s to write a setting description. The 5-7-10 stands for writing as much as we can in 5 minutes. Talking to a partner about you text for 7 minutes and finally finishing of your piece of writing on 10 minutes. Also in the 10 minutes time we also edited and prof read with a partner and show it to the teacher. Our final step was publishing our setting description.

The Tunnel
The Tunnel
I saw bright green coloured leaves that sat on brown trees taller than the Sky
Tower. I then observed a large tunnel, and I noticed that it seemed endless. I
slowly took a step forward, and felt drops of water splashing up onto my legs. I
looked down, to see a mucky, dirty, brown puddle. I hurdled over the puddle,
and made my way to the tunnel. Suddenly I heard a strange high pitched voice
that echoed through the tunnel. “Hello!” I exclaimed. Then suddenly a
powerful wind pushed me further into the tunnel. I then slowly observed my
surroundings, and found bright green leaves, pure green grass and beautiful
bushes. I also heard small birds chirping.

Duffy Books - Assembly
Today is a very special day. This is because Panmure Bridge had our first Duffy assembly this year. It was a pleasure to welcome two important guest. The guests were Taylah Hodson and Matt Johnson. They talked about how reading helped them in their life. We also received our Duffy books we chose at the beginning of the year that time. Choosing Duffy books was really difficult because there were so many amazing books and we could only pick 4 books and I can't wait to read the books I received. I chose 2 of Geronimo Stilton's books and 2 books related to Spider Man. I was lucky enough to get 1 of Geronimo Stilton's book and 1 of Spider Mans book. I love reading Geronimo Stilton's books because the author (Elisabetta Dami) wrote all Geronimo Stilton's books in a creative way. Her texts are in colours and different shapes.
