National Young Leaders Day - C.A.R.E Awards - Gold Attitude

National Young Leaders Day is a remarkable event that helps build leaderships in many Student Leaders. This was an amazing opportunity for 6 leaders from our school to go to this event because we heard amazing stories about people who overcame difficulties in their life. We saw people such as Lisa Tamati, Amanda Wilson and Riley Hathaway who were some people that inspired me by saying don't be afraid of being different from others and don't let others put you down. The person who was the most inspirational for me was Riley Hathaway because she looked after marine life animals and is determined to keep the ocean clean. She said that everyone can face their fears and overcome their obstacles by believing in themselves. At the end of the event we were lucky to have Vince Harder who is a New Zealand pop recording artist. He had inspired a lot of people with his singing. He left a powerful message saying to always follow you personal passion, achieve it to the end, and gain information about what you want to be in the future.

Maths | M&M's

This week for maths we were did something very different to things we usually do. Since my teachers ( Ms Kirkpatrick and Mrs Anderson) had flown to Chicago for a conference. Mr Johnson, Mrs Hollow and Mrs McLean are our substitute teachers. For maths Mr Johnston gave us a few information about the ratio for the colours of the m&m's found in a packet.  I personally have learnt many things about M&M's but the most interesting part to find out about the facts.

Here is the screenshot of my groups facts about M&M's

HIIT

This week for HIIT, ( High Intensity Interval Training) we were to do different exercises. For these exercises we needed to have a lot of strength. As some of you might know last week we were focusing on split squat, split squat jumps, split squat pulse and tap step or star jumps, and the session before we were focusing on squats, squat jumps, and etc. As you see for the pass two sessions we were focusing on squats, however this session we are focusing on pull ups, push ups and squats.

For this session we were to form into pairs then find two other pairs to form groups of six. Then each pair have a station to work in. Jack (my partner) and I we in the pull up station. Coree and Noveah, we in the push up station and finally Miki and John were in the squats station.
