Winter Learning Journey - Pest free

Today I have done a Winter Learning Journey on pests. For my task I wrote down three things that pests do and I had to read about how people in New Zealand are working to kill pests like possums. I think that these pests should be killed because...

  1. The pests damage New Zealand native trees
  2. The pests are killing New Zealand native animals like the kokako bird, Kiwis, etc.
  3. Pests have been killing lots of New Zealand animals / birds and if New Zealanders leave these pests in the future we will have no native birds.

  1. Hey Sanujan!

Unfortunately these pests are doing so much damage to our environment which is really sad, so I agree, we should get rid of them!

  2. Hi Sanujan
I agree with you and Nicky. Pests like possums are doing just to much damage to our native trees and are killing our native animals. Keep up the good work.

  3. Hi Sanujan
Its good to see that you know what is killing Kiwi, Kokako and other native New Zealand birds. Perhaps you could research what people do to try and preserve our native birds

  4. Hello Sanujan, I agree with you. Pests have been damaging lots of our native trees. They have diseases that can be easily spread to other animals. Keep it up! I can't wait to see some more fantastic posts.
