Kiwi Kapers: Orchestra

Today, 37 students from Learning Space 2, were really lucky and went on a trip to the Kiwi Kapers, Orchestra performance. The Orchestra took place in the Auckland Philharmonia. In this event, students were able to hear the different orchestral sections, instruments and follow the stories that the music makes. This year Kiwi Kapers includes The Auckland Dance Project performance. The dance performers were students from St Kents. We also heard an amazing opera singer. During the event, we saw many fascinating instruments. There were different instruments for each section.


These are the instruments we saw.

Brass
Frechhorn, trombone, trumpet, an Tuba

Woodwind
Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, and Bassoon

String
Harp, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass

Percussion
Drums, Symbols, and Triangles.
