National Young Leaders Day is a remarkable event that helps build leaderships in many Student Leaders. This was an amazing opportunity for 6 leaders from our school to go to this event because we heard amazing stories about people who overcame difficulties in their life. We saw people such as Lisa Tamati, Amanda Wilson and Riley Hathaway who were some people that inspired me by saying don't be afraid of being different from others and don't let others put you down. The person who was the most inspirational for me was Riley Hathaway because she looked after marine life animals and is determined to keep the ocean clean. She said that everyone can face their fears and overcome their obstacles by believing in themselves. At the end of the event we were lucky to have Vince Harder who is a New Zealand pop recording artist. He had inspired a lot of people with his singing. He left a powerful message saying to always follow you personal passion, achieve it to the end, and gain information about what you want to be in the future.
